Buck and I go all the way back to high school, and we reconnected a few years ago after he heard the boys and I moved back home. We sent several messages on Instagram catching up, and it turned out he was driving right by the farm every day to work in Selma. He asked if I still had the same number from high school "with the angry dad voicemail" (that's a story for another day, haha). Soon after, I was driving back from a workday in Birmingham when he called to ask me to dinner. Our first date was set, and I was thrilled - until a snow/ice storm threatened our plans. We quickly arranged a backup date option for the night before at Buck's house, and he wanted to cook for me. Boy, was I impressed! Anyone who's had a bite of Chef Buck's cooking knows what I'm talking about. Long story short - we enjoyed being together so much we ended up on two dates two nights in a row. Ragon and Collins adored Trooper Buck just as much as I did, and the rest is history.
Most of you know we'll be eloping in Asheville, North Carolina the week before our reception. Buck lived there for a bit while working for the Asheville Tourists Baseball Team, and it's a place I've dreamed of visiting - we're most excited to see the stunning Biltmore Estate and breath-taking Blue Ridge Parkway. However, we absolutely want the opportunity to celebrate our marriage with our closest friends and family, so we hope you can join us for our reception at Sunset Ridge Barn in Prattville. Thank you all for your love and support - it truly means the world to us.
